Broken Hearts

by Rachael   Jan 2, 2007

The moon gave us light when we needed to see,
The sun gave us warm days to hold each other close in.
The mist gave us time to dry our eyes from fear of losing each other.
I wasn't scared taking the risk of being with you,
I was scared to loose you and I have.
I feel myself growing farther and farther apart from you,
Everyday and nothing we do will keep us together.
You are a country boy and I a city girl,
We know this won'tt work out yet we stick together for each other's love.
At night I lie awake telling myself this might be the last time holding you,
Kissing you, holding you tight when times are rough.
Our love is strong, but will it last?
The night is young, but it can die,
Just like our love and so we see each other as lovers,
Rather than a couple.
To wake up in your arms you saying you love me,
Was my favorite not it is goodbye.
I feel as if we have to keep our self-distance from each other,
So the pain won't happen again.
The rain only falls when youâ??re gone and we fight,
Never do are days fill with love,
And we find our selfâ??s under a blanket of stars.
Times are rough, but when I said I loved you,
I told you I would go to hell and back for you,
And I have.
I loved you, but your gone and never will we be together in a room,
Or touching again.
To hear your voice would make me the happiest person in the world,
But you're hers not mine.
She got the love of my life and I got the worst in the world,
A man that doesn't return my love.

I've got the feeling... it's so sad, really. You expressed you're love and it was heart-taking. another 5/5.
