Lost Hope

by Twisted Heart   Jan 2, 2007

A painful recollection of
a soul that died today
Inside the hidden chamber
of a heart rot with decay
A simple shattered silence
split against the angry night
Into the darkened hollow
came the embers of a light.

For just a moment in the crest
of the moonless sky
A star was found among the clouds
to whisper it's sad cry
Into the mist of teardrops
that had found a place to fall
Against the soul of hidden lies
that had come to call.

An Inkling of a heartache
that has burnt within the mind
No hope or understanding of
the memories confined
Just longing for the gentle breeze
that takes away the breath
And leads the lost among the stars
with the hand of death.

Very different poem. Outstanding flow and rhyme! Um, at the end, did you mean they were going to heaven, or simply that they died? Just wondering!
