Songs that we Sing

by Taylor   Jan 2, 2007

The chords strum lost sadness,
reverberating through a medium of color,
but only colors of that sadness.
Keys wavering sweetly,
black and white.. If only it could be so easy.
Fantastic fingers guide the emotions
that you tried to keep a secret.
I say, sing a little softer.
Your voice sounds so beautiful
when you've retired from the fight.
The cabinet drawers you left shut tight,
open them, just tonight.
And play me the song you hide there.
Play me the song you hide there.

What a beautifully written free verse. I like the repetition at the end. It gives emphasis. Nicely done! Another 5/5
