Rant

Talent doesn't matter
it's looks that count the most
and if you don't have looks
you lose; it's just the way it goes

and i don't have the looks
i know i'm always set to fail
i wasn't born with perfect skin
nor was i born perfect hair

i'm never gonna be a star
i won't be on TV
my voice cannot make any notes
i was not born baronetecy

and oh, my childhood was filled with wishes
which obviously did not come true
and here i sit, using talent
that holds no further use

i wish i had the hands to draw
or had the voice to sing
i wish that i could buy the world
and force a change in it

i wish that i could make a change
but here i know i can't
what writing does in modern days
is merely known as rant
