Infatuation

by alone in the crowd   Jan 3, 2007

My mind pulsating against my skull
Mashing into memories of us together
Ricocheting against daydreams of desire
Moments of passion seared into the backs of my eyelids
Never permitting the deterioration of fascination
My skin crawling up my arms
Leaving a sickly feeling of longing
My lungs sinking within my chest
Each breath becoming harder and harder to take in
My stomach wringing the life from each vein
Continually squeezing until each ounce of being is gone
My soul involved in a wrestling match with my thoughts
Words of fervor dripping from my tongue as I speak of you
A language of love holding my mouth hostage
A lingering feeling of want and obsession for you
A made-up emotion controlling my movements
My arms craving their ability to embrace you
My eyes longing to stare into yours
My thoughts continually rebounding back to you
Forever reminding me of my infatuation
