Give me Back

by Iola   Jan 3, 2007

Mistakes in life make you reflect on what you've never tasted.
A silent hatred toward all that's lost, an unwillingness to accept life as wasted.
Creepy desires for what is not yours, for something that can never be.
An inability to learn great lessons, but an urgency to taste and see.

The animal inside that roars to get out of a body restricted by age.
A wild horse that cries in a lonely world, a soul that burns with rage.
The heart that beats for another's pearl and silently wishes to steal.
A childish yearning to take what's not yours, eating another's meal.

Those lonely nights in paradise are closing possibility's eyes.
Obsession replaces a new romance as jealousy covers the lies.
Your only token the moon in the sky, but the moon doesn't bring you peace.
Let go of what never belonged to you and be cured from the mighty disease.
