You can never fix a child

by grim reaper   Jan 3, 2007

Im not obligated to feel anymore its not part of my persona
Ill tear you down with my words, I promise
I will make so that you will never be able to see the brightness of tomorrow
Laugh all you want, you inanimate fool
At least I know in my heart what is true
Oh you emotional child, your just not glad
Its heartache to know that I would live through it again
If it could exonerate me of all of my sins

But now the child is now the mother
The lessons learned are now the lessons taught
When the daughter of the child is ready then she will learn the true darkness of the world
That love is short lived and the truth is always a 2 ton elephant
And both are impossible to find when sought

But now the daughter of the child is now the mother
The lessons learned are now the lessons taught
And when the daughter of the childs daughter is ready then she will learn the true darkness of the world
That you can never find love and that the truth always hurts
And that you will never find either, no matter where you sought it.

And now the daughter of the childs daughter is in pain
No, she is not a mother, No, shes just my age
She has lived through the struggles of her mother and the mother before
The lessons taught are not the lessons learned.
That the world although dark, can be drowned in sunlight
That love will come when she is ready and that the truth although dreadful is always right
And that you can find both when the time is right
Now the daughter of the childs daughter is now a woman
