The scares

by MyBleedingWrists   Jan 3, 2007

The scars are hidden under my trouser leg,
Only the blood sometimes shows.
When I've cut myself too deep,
I get scared in case someone knows.

Getting changed for PE
I manage to hide the marks,
Sometimes if they reveal
I fear other people's remarks.

No one knows what I do to myself,
Not even my closest friends,
No one knows how alone I feel,
No one can make amends.

Play a sad song,
Shed a few tears,
Cut myself,
Forget these years.

I never understood self-harm,
Until it got to this,
Couldn't see the point,
Something went amiss.

A burning cool relief
Pools of self made pain
Getting rid of feelings,
Of which I can't retain.

Fill a tissue with blood,
Empty my body of emotion,
The Curie's as bad as the pain,
Like simple harmonic motion.
