The Girl

by Beautiful Catastrophe   Jan 3, 2007

See that girl coming near,
As pretty as a rose.
She stops and strikes a pose.

All the people gather round,
Her friends and her foes.
Her insecurities are the one thing that she never shows.

I stand all alone,
Off to the side.
I let my imagination go for a ride.

Visions swirl through my head,
Of what it would be like to be her;
Beautiful, Graceful, Confident and Sure.

My daydream is over,
Reality has snapped back.
It is then I remember,
Those are the qualities that i lack.

See that girl walking away,
As happy as can be.
She is the girl,
That I wish was me.
