Your Perfect Secret

by Megan C   Jan 3, 2007

Your perfect secret but only for a night.
Your perfect secret locked up tight.
A perfect image in a dream.
But locked behind bars so it seems.
Like the shadow of a fence,
Like the wind on a cold night,
Like waves crashing on the shore.
She's a perfect angel,
Just trying to soar.
Like a fallen baby bird,
She tried to fly,
That was no way to die.
You tore her heart out.
You made her fall.
You didn't see the way she loved you,
The way she cried at night
Because she couldn't have you
The blood coming from her arm,
Flowing like a soft stream.
The tears falling from her eyes
Like a sad, dark storm.
The hate she had for you,
The fake smiles and laughs
When you were around.
Your perfect secret for the rest of your life.
Your perfect secret soaring free.
A perfect nightmare, no longer a dream.
