Looking Out the Window

by Wasted Fake Smiles   Jan 4, 2007

Looking through the window glass,
Watching the porcelain faces as they pass.
Everyone seems so happy, as if to shimmer,
They all have hope, you can see the glimmer.

I am emerald green with envy; it's not fair,
I'm stuck here; they get to have fun out there.
I clasp the letter in my tear soaked arms,
As if to protect it from the watery harm.

The diamond tears roll down my face,
I know this is the end of my lonely race.
I am alone, shattered, no one knows of my pain,
No one can see the silence of my tears in the rain.
