Days Have Happy Endings

You see her but you know you can not say
looking up and down the hall
you know you can not stay,

You return to class and shut the door
looking down and knowing
you will regret this forever more,

You see her all day
wondering what she is thinking
but she is to far away,

The day is over
and everything seems wrong
the fighting just seems to get older,

Finally she comes up to me
we smile at each other and say hello
we both know this is the only place where we want to be,

She puts her arms around me
and I pull her closer taking a deep breath
and as happy as could be.
