The Novel of My Life

by TheRapture03   Jan 5, 2007

The pages turn on the novel that is my life
I wait to see the page with you on it
That one that'll make it all right

Reading in the dark has never been this hard
I've never been so blind that I couldn't see
I lost my vision weeks ago, when you left me

The light has burned out
The tears keep falling
All that's left to do, is keep on calling

This book reads like I wrote it
I know every word by heart
This book reads like I've lived it
Every painful work of art

I'm trying harder, but still can't see
I should've realized I've lost it now
With you went a part of me

The words jump off the page
And they're screaming at me
In a silent rage
