To my dearest and best friend,
i loved you to the very end,
you were there for me,
but now your set free,

tears and the smiles that we shared,
nothing else could be compared,
beside me you stood,
right through my childhood,

so sadly you are now gone,
a spirit like yours should be reborn,
I still shall not cry a tear,
cause when you left you took all my fear,

    A few suggestions take em or leave em, "the tears and the smiles" and "I shall not cry a tear" however, there is true emotion and for the most part, this piece flows nicely, make these two changes and I feel it would be perfect.
