Dead heart

by Solus   Jan 5, 2007

I bury now this cold dead heart,
I wish I knew this from the start,
Your love was what I needed,
And till the end I still plea-ed,
Your love moved on,
And in the end I feel so conned,
My wounded heart you did kill,
damage done because I feel,
And now I'm done I'll love no more,
My heart is dead of this bloody chore.

I can relate to my heart being cold, but not dead. I think we inflict a lot of the pain on ourselves by not speaking up and saying how we really feel. Also you can't say that you will never love again because you don't know who you will be passing by. She may not h ave been the one for you, but she may have taught you some things to get ready for the one you are to love and to be in love with.

What a very sad poem. Your pain can be felt in the words you have penned. Great job!
