A Secret Untold

by Jillian Hayley   Jan 5, 2007

Born with one identity,
Living with two,
She smiles upon the world,
As her world inside drowns in tears,
She wants to be,
What hardly anyone sees,
Herself-
Those priviledged ones know the real her,
Before lies and drama,
Before the reason she hides,
She desperately waits,
Before the crowd,
Pondering her secret should she tell?
She loves attention,
But this isn't fake,
This is real,
Just like the person inside,
That she wishes she could share,
She smiles and laughs,
To hide her pain and tears,
Before the world turned,
She showed herself,
Flashed before her peers,
Then it spun, so violently,
She closed herself,
Coming out of her blanket,
A blanket of darkness,
Would be her biggest fear,
So she keeps a smile on her face,
And a laugh in her sentence,
Hiding her real self,
That could be easily destroyed,
With just a few words,

One life, Two worlds,
One fake, One true,
One girl, A life hardly anyone knows.
