Death: Silent Stalker

by Paige Whalen   Jan 5, 2007

I walk down a dark street
Walking alone forever
Listening to my heart beat
Me and myself, we're not together

I keep walking
Where I'll end up, I don't know
In the dark insects are talking
The night is going by slow

Flitting from tree to tree
As I walk along
Is a creature that I do not see
It goes on singing a Deathly song

My time has not yet come
But it lingers still
It strikes all animals dumb
Getting ready for its kill

I stop and look behind me
Staring into the face of Death
Of its gaze I cannot get free
Approaching to take my soul breath

It comes even closer
Watching me squirm
Laying its pale hand on my shoulder
It kisses me, gentle yet firm

I'm sinking in the darkness
Falling to that place of shadow
Death is showing its black-heartedness
The sea of Death is quite shallow

Farewell cruel darkness that never let me have a moments peace.........
