Hail Caesar!

by Independence Forever   Jan 5, 2007

Hail Caesar!

i feel my body shake

below me the ground quakes

i see my enemy cursing my home

i miss my family in distant Rome

we charge our foe sword in hand

we march together our soldier band

we clash on this most lovely field

we knew they'd be stubborn and never yield

fight on romans near and far

fight on ye men ye are the rising star

Hail Caesar!

When I first read the title of this poem I wasn't sure if I was going to read it or not because I'm not normally a huge fan of that kind of stuff in that time period. But I really liked how you made this poem different. I liked how you talked about the closeness of the Romans thats something that I think humanity is missing now-a-days. The strength and connection to fight for their race/people when push comes to shove. Instead we just end up sitting back and letting other people do it for us. Maybe when things fall apart we will finally be able to get back to where we were and stand together and once again "hail Caesar".
