Goodbye

by jocelyn   Jan 6, 2007

He is standing with a bloody knife
Crouching over my dieing body
He is trying to say he is sorry
He is saying it was never to be done
It was an accident
But this accident lead to my death

I am choking on my own blood
I am laying across the floor
Watching as he stabs me over and over again
Watching as blood my own blood flies
Screaming at him to stop
Yelling for mercy

Finally he stops and looks at my face
Seeing the brown eyes that once loved him
Seeing the skin so smooth and clear
Seeing the blood that he caused
Seeing the pain that he caused
Stopping to hear my cries
Hearing me beg for mercy
Straining to hear the one word he wants to hear
The word that never leaves my mouth
.goodbye.
