Gravity

by Rhiannon   Jan 6, 2007

A pathetic collission of atoms.
Hiding your face from the person who knows you best.
A slab of flesh to mask your passionless,
Hollow,
Empty skull.

I can see you running from
Fire.
You know nothing.
Not yet.

Love.
The word rolls off your lips
And it is poison.
Still, I absorb it.
I even try to believe it.
You are cruel.

Emotionless gestures of \\\"concern\\\".
Telling me to quit.
Telling me I\\\'m nothing unless I do.
You forgot something, angel.
I never wanted to be anything.
A rock. The dust under the rock.
A single atom.
Nothing.

I dreamed about it.
I prayed about it.
You opened a door.
Mindless creature.
You\\\'re nothing now.
I\\\'ll keep dreaming.

    Quite a piece....
    This stanza really got me....esp:

    "You forgot something, angel.
I never wanted to be anything."

    "Emotionless gestures of \"concern\".
    Telling me to quit.
Telling me I\'m nothing unless I do.
    You forgot something, angel.
I never wanted to be anything.
A rock. The dust under the rock.
    A single atom.
    Nothing."
