Puzzled beyond belief
by you I am indeed,
How is it after such a short time
you seem to be what I need?
Just like that
you appeared one day-
So bewitched was I
I only wished for you to stay
At my side
if even for an hour.
Locked away together
in an impregnable tower.
Away from the world
where our minds can be at ease.
A place where you and I-
can frolic and tease
Each other as the night
fades into day,
Where time goes unnoticed
and we do as we may.
What puzzles me the most
is the way you make me feel,
Consumed am I by thoughts of you
breaking my sacred seal.
I suppose where love is concerned
one need not understand,
For its one of life's many mysteries
We know not where it began.
