That First Kiss

by Kimberly Marie   Jan 6, 2007

Thinking about that day
always placed a smile upon my face,
It happened so long ago
yet I can never forget how it took place.

I remember your face
cheeks as red as a rose,
With thin cherry coloured lips
Never has another tasted as sweet as those.

Even though we are not together anymore
I will never forget
How we melted into each other,
an experience I shall never regret

For if I could do it again
by all means I would,
For I have always loved you
just as any woman should.

My soul mate I named you
but at the time we could not be,
I wished that with your growing years
you would still have love left for me.

You never spoke the words
for your actions did it for you,
As that first kiss said it all
a kiss that was so true.

Our first kiss-
such a magical memory,
Alas!
Our union was only temporary.

A rough storm came
tearing us painfully apart,
I just hope that you know
that you always have a place in my heart.
