Listening to a song

I was listening to a song, thinking of the day.
Suddenly you slipped into my mind and wouldn't go away.

I was thinking of your sense of humor and that beautiful smile.
Listening to this one great song, I sat there for a while.

A dream soon came over me, in which you should appear.
This dream in which I felt nothing, shed not a single tear.

Happy is the way I felt, with you inside my head.
Thinking of your beautiful soul and
the things that you had said.

You seem somewhat of a hero, with those huge touching eyes.
Everything seemed perfect, such a great disguise.

Suddenly the song stopped as well did my dream.
knowing I would never forget, inside I will always scream.
