A Pointless War

by Willow   Jan 7, 2007

Blood is shed on the streets,
Broken people left to weep.
Buildings falling everywhere,
Making it look like no one cared.

Heartless people causing pain,
Letting their bullets continually rain.
Screaming children everywhere,
Their parents blood falling from the air.

Forgotten bodies left to rot,
Adolescents getting high on pot.
Innocent lives taken to soon,
Empty souls left to cry to the moon.

White crosses stand where men once stood,
Males of all ages sparing their lives because they could.
Wives left at home to weep for what they lost,
Children left alone because that was the cost.

Nightmares torturing the minds of many,
So many young soldiers screaming out the words "SPARE ME!".
Unwanted images running through their heads,
Unlucky people left to find new beds.

Two minds have control,
Of whether to fight or let go,
Too many tears are shed,
All because these two listen to their heads.
