Scared part one

by Nima   Jan 7, 2007

My father taught me to fight,
And to be proud of my race,
But now my father is in jail,
And now I don’t want to be in this place,

Everyday is a battle,
Because everyday I have to get ready for war,
Everyday is a struggle to get through the day,
Because people aren’t getting along anymore,

Latino’s are fighting with the Chinese,
Blacks are fight with the whites,
No race can get along without proving who’s stronger,
Because our parents taught us how to fight,

Education isn’t what’s on our mind,
Drugs and violence’s is the environment that we were raised,
We don’t know how to respect people but we know how to get respect,
Because we’re proud of our race,

Everyday we see people running for their lives,
And people dying for no reason,
But in order for us to survive, we have to do what we have to do,
Because we may not make it to all the seasons,

But I don’t want to continue to be like this,
And I don’t know how to change or where to start,
I already know I’ve hurt so many innocent people in the past,
But I don’t know how to heal their broken heart,

So what should I do?
When I’m scared to die,
So what should I do?
When I’m scared that I won’t have the chance to say goodbye.
