I'll

by gabriel   Jan 7, 2007

I'll cross the ocean
Early tomorrow
I don't want to admit
But I'm full of sorrow

My heart has lost
It's colour of red
I'm no better off
Being buried dead

I'll long for you
During my maiden voyage
Your love letters
I'll hide in the storage

So please let me
Breathe you in once more
I can't wait to see you
When I walk through that door

I'll fly the open skies
After a week at sea
I don't want to say this
But will you miss me?

I've lost my mind
All dark and dreary
It's just like hope
Not waiting for me

I still long for you
While up in the air
I'll glance the open clouds
Wondering if you still care

So please let me
Feel your kiss again
Say you love me
In this pouring rain

I'll trek the harsh desert
Just two months later
I don't want to know
But please don't falter

I've lost my touch
One that used to know
Your soft, tender breath
In the frosty snow

Longing for your love
In the desert dry
I desire for you but
There's no tears left to cry

So please let me
Touch you one more time
Hold me close
And say you'll be mine

I'll be coming home
In about four hundred days
Things would have differed
In many, many ways

By then I'd have lost
My mind and soul
But would you have changed
Like the weather gone cold?

As always I long
For your precious touch
Never in my life
Have I missed someone so much

So please let me hear
From your heart so true
Those longing words
Simply, "I love you"
