Taking the Risk

by Avrii Monrielle   Jan 7, 2007

I feel like a fool
What I told you was true
The words I speak make me freak
...Out, just wondering what could happen

The world of rejection
Is a sad place to mention
When you were hoping the highest
Of all your hopes

Why, oh, why
Do I have to always wonder
About nothing, something
I wonder... do you love her?

Her, your close friend
You say you have so much in common
She waits for you endlessly
But what she wants never seems to happen

Do you she love you?

She's said it so much,
The words are almost worn
She's so scared of rejection,
That her heart's already torn

It's in slow motion for eternity
Until someone says something
Waiting forever
Endlessly...

You might as well say it
Before it's too late
And time comes knocking
To determine your fate

When and if you say it
You better truly mean it
Or just leave; walk out the door
Our friendship will be just like before

I don't want to take a risk
But if I don't, I'd always think of what I missed
So, yesterday, I took that chance
My heart is broken in advance

Just in case you say no
I'll be alright
You always want what you can't have
But I'm not going down without a fight

And if you say yes, I will be
So happy, and it will all seem sweet
Wake me from my misery
If you want to stay, don't leave

love those lines. very deep, seeing someone so tired and so scare that they are already hurt before the real pain have even begun.
