Pretend Friend

by Hawaiian Chick   Jan 8, 2007

I cried myself to sleep last night,
My mind so full of you,
These feeling of hurt and betrayal,
Are now no longer new.
They ask if you are worth the tears,
Pretending you're a friend,
But you are so much more than that,
you're the letters I didn't send.
Blown kisses sent behind your back,
The look of pure intend,
The valentine I never got,
The flowers you never sent.
The love is lived, only in my dreams,
Because you feel regret,
You never told me how you feel,
Except the first time we met.
I think you like another,
and that fact makes me cry,
you try tell me otherwise,
but I've heard all the lies.
I really want to forget you,
but if I did, I know I'd break,
I still really love you,
I'm pretending for your sake.
