Low

by David   Jan 8, 2007

A cry that is never heard,
An empty tick of a forgotten clock,
Silence that burns all,
No victors self-loving mock,

Vacant space that bleeds enternal,
Feeling the painful loss,
The universe dies without a sound,
Planets crumble at terrible cost,

Alone sits a woeful man,
Full of hate and anger,
Feeling that his tainted soul,
Was the one that had killed her,

Helpless and forgotten,
Peace fills from without,
Only to allow the dread,
To form a fearfull doubt,

What if I am the only one,
The others I have curse,
Am i resposible for,
The absent universe,

So with a grim face,
And scared tearful eyes,
He looks up through the stormy clouds,
And past the hazy skys,

And looks upon the stars,
And thinks about the ones from sight,
And knows that he is the reason,
No others will see this tonight,

The pain all but gone,
But the memories still like stone,
Weighing down his twitching shoulders,
With the burden he carries all alone,

He had not caused the suffering,
But still the blame was his,
For he and the human race,
Had destroyed all of this,

He shouted out to the heavens,
Pleeing for another cry,
But only silence answers,
As he lets his voice die,

I want to go,
I need to leave,
His mind racing,
At incrediable speed,

What is the point,
Whats the difference,
Im the last one,
Who will weep my absense,

Mustering his courage,
And strength inside,
He struck himself,
and with him the universe died,

His body lay still,
But his head was alive,
A thought struck back,
Hed taken the dive,

For everything stood still,
While time meant none,
And although it was slow,
Life re-begun,

Trapped in his prison,
His body slowly spread,
Across the universe,
Where he once tread,

Reuniting like the rest,
Together once more,
The dead worlds grew life,
With the waste of the war,

He could see how it worked,
Spead out in front of his mind,
This would not stop the universe,
Not this...This man-kind,

And now he knew,
What he needed to know,
In this world,
He is never alone,

His joy was not shown,
Nor was it felt,
He knew he was happy,
With what life had dealt,

He was content,
Just to watch the show,
How the universe,
Had conquered his low.

    Loved these lines:
"An empty tick of a forgotten clock"
"The universe dies without a sound"

    "Am i resposible for,
    The absent universe"
you are responsible for the changes you make, not all the changes that happen around you.

    "The dead worlds grew life,
With the waste of the war"
:) how interesting! this I need to think more about.

    Loved the ending :D
    be happy!

    take care,
