I am one simple person no word defines me
My flesh, my cage entraps my soul
My soul, my true self wanting freedom
Who will save the shattered heart
That lies beyond the looking glass
Who will mend the broken trust

Will this love fade and will our story end
Shall I weep in my sweet somber sorrow
Or will I be made the pawn
To play the role I was born to do
To live, love and die a stupid fool
Can I ascend my master
Can I be greater than he
But alas this is but a slaves dream
To be free, when no one can truly be free
I long for the day the shackles break
I long for the time we can change our fate
How long will I wander and search in vain
How long will I be left to bear this pain
My life, soul, heart and flesh
Cannot complete me like all the rest
Dust to dust, and ashes to ashes
We will all fade somewhere, someday
