The Diamond Cave

by The Angel of Secrets   Jan 9, 2007

A diamond found deep in a cave,
A poor little kid once found.
It laid there peaceful, all alone,
shining on the ground.

The poor little kid picked up the rock,
it was beautiful, beyond belief.
Perhaps it belong to someone else,
He didn't want to be a thief.

The poor little kid, shouted in the cave,
but no answer came back.
The kid looked from side to side,
but saw nothing but the black.

He climbed out of the darknessed cave,
with the diamond in his hand.
He climbed until he came to the top,
and up on the soft, warm sand.

He walked away from the diamond cave,
never new the treasures it had.
He found only one single rock,
and it was anything but bad.

The cold, dark cave had plenty of diamonds,
bigger than the one he found.
Still, it was enough with the one,
he found peaceful on the ground.
