The River That Drowned The Whole World

This is the story of a girl
who cried a river of tears
it was then when she drowned the whole world
that she finally realized her fears

her fears of falling in love
to trust in someone again
but that was the coldest kind of love
she loved her best friend

she told him she loved him
and he just looked away and walked
she caught up and told him again
she cried "please talk"

he said he didn't feel the same
he broke her heart in two
her worst fear of a broken heart
had finally come true

she was tired of being alone
and she was so sick of being scared
she was sitting at home that night
with her sharp blade

her parents went out
and she was left alone
she locked all the doors
and picked up the phone

she dialed in a number
2 rings then "hello"
she said "goodbye, my love"
and hung up the phone

he knew what she was doing
so he raced to her house
he knocked on the door
but didn't hear a sound

he tried to get in
but the door was locked
he tried to save her life
before her heart stopped

he broke down the door
and ran to her room
there she lay on the floor
in the light of the moon

he then realized his feelings
the very feelings for this girl
she cried a river of tears
and downed the whole world

he sat down on the bed
beside her, he saw a note
and in her handwriting
was something she had wrote

"you were my everything
how could you break my heart
I love you so much
right from the start"

he cried as he read it
then he picked up her blade
he couldn't live without her
that's what he had to say

before he ended his life
he added something to the note
so in his handwriting, under hers
was something he had wrote

"it took me so long to see
that I have loved her so
but I was scared to love her
I never wanted her to go"

her parents arrived home
and discovered them both dead
the next morning in the newspapers
all the headlines said
