Almost Asked you To Lie

I almost want you to say you love me
That I am your only one
Tomorrow would only be darkness
If I didn't shine as your sun

I've nearly wished sweet words off your lips
That would heal this aching heart
I'm close to the point of asking you to say
You wish us two would never part

I've almost begged you on hands and knees
To tell me how much you care
To unite our feelings to stand strong as one
And meet in a holding stare

But those thoughts shall never leave my mouth
Because what use would it do
To hear lies spatter forth to console me
When those feelings aren't from you

    Hey gr8 poem, I wrote a similar piece a few months back called lie to me.. kinda da same theme but I wos tryin 2 work out if lies are ever justified to make yourself feel better, I too think that the truth is always better. Neway Luvd this piece as I could rel8!!

    The only thing i can suggest is adding an "and" at the beginning of the second line to clean up the flow a bit, but it stands fine without it too.
    Your words, as always, as amazing and you seem to have put a lot of heart into this piece.
