I Object

I object
to being seen as an inferior human being
because im a young african american teen

i object
to being seen as i cant see,be, or do anything
because society says that my kind is to dumb to change anything

i object
to people saying that every black person destroys and doesnt build
all you hear is we steal and we kill

i object
to being looked at like im not smart enough to turn on a light
i object to being looked at as the only thing i can do right is fight

i object
to bein seen as some boy's future baby mama
when i got dreams bigger than what the the size of the world seems

i object
to all the false statements made against my people
cuz i know for a fact that we can overcome all of that
