We were so close,
The best of friends,
I loved you the most,
Never thought it could end

Random hugs when bad moods were inescapable,
You would smile and my tears would disappear,
It was so close to perfect,
Never thought to fear

Every great thing has to end,
What about my love for you?
It was different than all the rest,
Is there anything we can do?

You say you love me,
It is not the same,
Now you never notice my tears,
Who is to blame?

Remember me when we both grow old,
I am the one who always cared,
So when you think you are all alone,
Remember the love we shared.

    I voted 5 to bring up your rating a little .. but its not.. its sweet and simple.. the rhymes are okay..some seem forced... but the flow again is just not there for me... however.. it is one of your better from the ones ive read

    I liked this poem. i thought it was sweet. however, i felt that it was very wordy at this part,

    I felt that you could have condensed it. it was a very sweet poem nontheless.
