A dream within a dream

by Hannah Emellia   Jan 9, 2007

Sleeping in wakefulness,
Drifting away,
Bondage of nightmares,
This dream is to stay.

A dream within a dream,
Sleeping and awake,
Breathing air that's poisoned,
Wishing it were fake.

Floating through the ocean,
Falling down a well,
Tasting metal water,
My Lungs begin to swell.

Twisted and deformed,
Blind and seeing all,
Watching the sun rise,
As night begins to fall.

Raining sunny morning,
Stars like diamonds in the sky,
Dusty Owls are howling,
As the wolves begin to cry.

Lovely rainbows whisper,
As ash falls from your eyes,
As the sky turns ember,
Another angel dies.

Welcome to my dreamland,
The world inside my mind,
Careful what you look for,
And fear what you might find...
