The Vanity Of Love

by RainbowSlider   Jan 9, 2007

Each day I die unto you and you become greater.
Each night I pray unto you, oh, blessed creator.
Take me into your arms and love me sweet savior.
By your grace you have forgiven me my behavior.

All that I am and will ever be is because of you.
You calm the storm and take me through the blue.
You fill my heart with joy and lightened my load.
You walked with me always down that hard road.

You are my shepherd and I know your still voice.
You love me forever and it was always your choice.
You are a lamp unto my way; Light unto my path.
You give me comfort even in your great wrath.

You loved me ere you knew me; I owe all to you.
You loved unto death but still you weren't through.
You are my captain and will always be with me.
You are why I am happy, joyous and so free.

You didn't have to drink from that bitter cup.
You could have chosen life and then gave up.
You could have stayed in heaven up above.
You could have had but chose vanity of love.
