She Wipes Away A Tear

Everyday when she wakes up
Lies a challenge for her to pick up
She looks into the mirror
And what does she see
A blank and scared face starring back at her
A tear runs down her face
As she looks back into the mirror to see her face
Her face is a disgrace
As it has been since she was born
She is just a girl whose heart was torn
Slowly everyday she tries to mend her broken heart
That someone carelessly shattered and tore apart
She hopes and prays that maybe the hurt will go away
Because she doesn't want it to stay
The boy that did this deed
Has no idea the pain he has cause
For every night she bleeds
Bleeds of tears
She can't help that she still loves him
She knows he wants her to move on
Everyday he says that she will find another guy that she will love more than him
And it hurts her to see no future with him
She has little faith
And has fallen with little grace
But when faith isn't enough
She dreams
That maybe God will answer one of her prayers
That the sky will open and will fill her with the suns beams
Until that day she sits and stays
And hopes that maybe he will feel the same
She looks into the mirror and wipes away the tear
Because she knows that today is just another day
And as much as she hates it
She knows hes not there to stay.
