Long way to forever poem

I just wrote this for n isp its from a womens prospective so please deal with me people

Day by day a year goes by
No sight of you as I gaze to the sky
A second goes by and I hear a knocking at the door
I saw you standing there and expected no more
A shock runs to my delicate heart of blue
i'm getting married is all I could tell you
A walk is all you wanted I refused then gave in
One foot in front of the other, through leaves over bridges by now my heart had been turned to tin
Deeply hit I stop gaze into your astonishing eyes
You say I love you and all feeling inside slowly fades then eventually dies
Struck and amazed my throat slowly begins to close and my eyes begin to well up with tears
I have a soon to be husband and this beats my darkest fears
I try to hide it but the feelings show through
A kiss was coming just somehow I knew
You shouldn't have done that rang out from my voice
But if you really do love me then you had no choice
A second kiss came and went and still I felt the same
I wanted that kiss so only I am to blame
Tired and weeping you rest under a fruit tree
Then get up and its time for you to leave me
Once again the words screeched from your lips I love you
But time is too late I think to myself what should I do?
A chance at the man I love or the one that's already in my heart
the man that makes my heart jump or the man that makes my heart start?
Slowly you drift away and I can only hope you turn around because I know what to do
I run and jump into your arms and whisper I love you too
