Fighting and Winning

Fighting the current
Defying the masses,
Looking to the future
Through rose-tinted glasses.

Fighting the flames
Can't control the desire,
Emotions held inside
Growing ever-higher.

Fighting with myself
My own lonely heart,
Keeping the faith
We won't long be apart.

Fighting to stay awake
Sleep's not important to me,
Just to spend time with you
Your smiling face to see.

Fighting insecurities
And doubts that arise,
Believing instead the love,
I see there in caring blue eyes.

Fighting two governments
Reams of paperwork with a smile,
Knowing in the end
It will all be worthwhile.

Fighting and winning
This war we've begun
Nothing to stand against
Two becoming One.

C.C...I love you baby...you make me very happy from this far..so imagine when we're finally together.....xx

    My little soldier
    `growing ever-higher` amen to that babe, know exactly what you mean. mind in a whirl, uncontrolable cravings, isnt love is a constant bittersweet distraction! my life has become one long charade played out in a world full of apathetic strangers. sleep (when it comes) seems the only refuge from this torment we are going through. but reading this poem and the expressions like `fighting`,`war`,`keeping the faith` gives me strength, a confidence to endure this journey. let your words in this poem, which shows your obvious conviction to dig deep and fight! fight! fight!, be our rally cry! your resolute fortitude when you see me wavering will now be the backbone to our dream. you have tremendous drive babe, very proud of you.
    fighting two goverments! wow you are a determined girl, i like a women with spirt!!!. yes, suppose we could live in a cave, armed with a few old russian firearms and fend of englands S.A.S and yr countrys titan of an army until they bend to our demands!! i like a challenge, will get the rations now!
    but seriously, like i say and think so many times, you are really sweet michelle, you are one h@ll of a find. if* this dosent work, what are we gonna do!!!
    Love the last verse babe, im sure if we stand shoulder to shoulder nothing can get in our way, its not a matter of if, just when. Chris is right, im very lucky. xxx
