The Girl

by Roula   Jan 10, 2007

Look at the girl standing alone,
Her beauty radiates even through the darkest of times.
She seems to have it all,
Popularity, innocence, kindness, love.
But deep down inside, she's got a shattered heart.

Those eyes of hers can captivate any man,
Yet they cry endlessly during the night.

How she wishes that someone can figure out her deepest feelings,
Yet they don't go beyond her superficial beauty.

She knows what she wants,
It is peace of mind that she seeks.
But she digs herself deeper and deeper into her pit of misery.

A big piece of her is missing.
She searches for comfort within the many faces.
Yet she fails everytime.

How beautiful it would be,
If her prince charming came raging through.
Because she knows well-enough that it is he,
And he alone,
That has captured her heart.

Yes, she is fragile and sensitive,
But the eyes of that special someone
Is what will save her from this emptiness.

She might be a daydreamer,
And yes, she has been hurt once again.
But she knows one day it will be alright,
Because even the angels sometimes fall.
