The Death Ball...

by DeadGirl AKA Becka   Jan 10, 2007

Girls in black dresses,
wearing red lace...
chains weighing them down,
Wearing choke necklaces, tight as a brace

Men in tuxedos,
covered in blood...
make-up running down their eyes...
Like it always should.

They are all ready,
for the midnight ball...
They step out of their coffins...
prepared for it all.

They dance their dance...
of a deadly song...
they keep on dancing...
even if it's wrong...

With each twist,
and every turn...
A razor slides across their skin...
and the wounds start to burn...

They keep on dancing...
just dancing away...
They laugh at it all...
they laugh at their pain...

The songs almost over...
blood on the ground...
the razors move faster...
you can hear the painful sounds...

The song finally stops...
they all fall to the floor...
they've lost so much blood
their not here any-more...

Their souls drift on...
through the sky...
still dancing their dance...
still letting out cries...

It's so morbid and surreal, yet I can't stop reading until the last line.. this is a truly amazing poem! It is haunting yet comforting in an odd ethereal way.. 5/5!! :)
