Mind On A Shelf

by brittany   Jan 10, 2007

Put my mind up on a shelf, replace my heart with something else.

Drain every vain till I can't recall your name.

Melt me down I know you want too.

The flame is much too high you liquefy me.

I inhale the bitter ash that's cased around you.

Injected once now addicted.

Fallen from the sky to create my puddles

Never knew till I landed its to shallow.

Screaming through a stitched up cut that keeps you muted.

Forever I am lost with just one shadow.

The barrel I stare down is just too hollow.

I killed my birds there melodies only hang me.

Forever volume up the notes keep changing.

Static in my mind is slowly creeping I turned it down but now its blaring.

Put my my mind up on a shelf, replace my heart with something else.

Drain every vain till I can't recall your name.

Melt me down I know you want too.

The flame is much too high you liquefy me.

I inhale the bitter ash that's cased around you.

Injected once now addicted.

My water ran it was once soothing now a whirlwind took me in and now I'm drowning.

The river is now an ocean.

Salty tears Ill catch you here but not beside me.

Come say hello no wave goodbye I'm not about this.

You are the army of your soul so take a peek and don't go to deep.

Sip your own mind and looking in is much too fatal.
