New Year Candles

by LadyPearl   Jan 11, 2007

Every year pass
As though none occurred
But this year is different
I know that for sure
Though the pasty carpet
Still linger in our midst
Or the weary sun
Seem not to exist
Let this year be filled
With love and compassion
Forgiveness and trust
And rekindled passion

Thrust away old walls
Rebuild ones with truth
Assumptions are gone
Back to tender youth

Hum the song of change
A change; never for worse
Across the line in which
Black and white immerse
See the world through eyes
Eyes of a mother, eyes of mine
To find your waiting soul
A beauty so divine
Happy New Year's Day
Dear fellow gentle friends
To a brand new life
To a beginning and an end

I liked this one as well as the other two. It had descriptions, flow, and structure. Everything I've already told you it has.

But I liked this one the most out of the ones you asked me to do because it's different, plus it means something to everyone in the world, and not just a labelled group or groups, or yourself. Well done. =) 5/5 xxoo
