Here We Lay Together

by PAUL HEWSON   Jan 11, 2007

So here i am again
in oh so familiar a place
the ageing of time
are the lines opon my face
and here we lay together
barefoot in the sand
and what we feel beneath us
is gods unholy land

and the dancing girls are laughing
but the musics far to loud
i saw a young boy smirking
playing to the crowd
and the funny man is crying
but its not so very sad
cos the smirkin boy is dancing
and the dancing girls are bad

now it comes together
like it was alway meant to be
the horizon right before us
where the sky bleeds into sea
and here we lay together
entwined and skin to skin
and here we love each other
and here we let love in
