To Live

by Tylor Dent   Jan 11, 2007

With tears in her eyes she looks up at me.
Wishes she could be the person she wants to be.
But her dreams get demolished with each passing day.
And she tries to fake a smile but in an instant it goes away.
She tries to pretend that she actually fine.
Everybuddy else might not see it but babi im not blind.

You could put on an inch of makeup but id still see the tears.
You could put on a fake laugh but I could still determine your fears.
You could put on a fake smile but id still know your depressed.
You could look all happy but underneath it all I can tell your stressed.
No mater what you do pretend, put on something fake or even hide.
I can still tell that your hurting deeply inside.

Somedays she has her ups and some are down.
And sometimes she thinks death with no reason to be found.
You can tell by the look in her eyes that she is scared.
She thinks theres nothing to live for and that no one cares.
But deep inside if I think she would look.
She'd know I care and love her I could explain it all in a book.

But unlike a book these pages wont turn.
And for her sake she makes me concerned.
And theres something in life she wishes she could have.
But it seems like everytime she almost gets it something stands in her path.
and she might have a broken heart but the cure to a broken heart is the happiness someone gives.
And im trying to cure her broken heart and hopefully give her a reason to live.
