If You Truly Loved Me

by Bethany M   Jan 12, 2007

If you truly loved me
You would answer when I call
You would say you love me
As you pass me in the hall
But instead of that
You pretend I do not exist
Like you never knew me
Like you never believed that we could be together
When just a few days before
You didn't leave my side
Like Siamese twins
Attached at the hip
Now when I see myself in the mirror
It seems I am missing a part of me
And that part is the one who said he truly loved me
Then broke my heart into a million pieces
And left my friends and I to clean up the mess
