Dreams

by lonelynow   Jan 12, 2007

It's about Anorexia.

Weight dropping
Do better this week
She can't take it
Tears down a cold cheek

Voice stolen
Just like her self-love
Trying her best to be
As free as the dove

White, pure
She flies away
Until she wakes
To face another day

Perfect face
Smile, clean and true
And still nobody realizes
She's deceiving you

Mirror image
Shifts at a thought
Still the true picture
She hasn't caught

Eyes so bright
They harbor a flame
The smallest hope
That the monster is tame

Dreams elapse
Left with only one
That what she chose
Could be undone
