Forever With Me

It breaks my heart so just knowing your not there
But I smile that I can feel you when the wind blows through my hair
Our kisses full of passion and even the tears filled with pain
Are the things I love about every drop of rain
The world is full of the self-centered and wicked kind
And I'm forever grateful to think of you when love is on my mind
Our love for one another was long and wide and deep
All our many memories close to my heart is where I will keep
It saddens me to say that it took you dying for me to truly live
But you taught me that it is I who I must forgive
I can't keep struggling with which way I should turn
Because if I go back then I'm predestined to die and burn
Death is a lesson in life that we all must learn
And I must live right because to see you again is what I yearn
I've always been told that when it rains it pours
