Fade Away

by John Bowlby   Jan 13, 2007

As I lay down at night,
I fall into a deep coma,
Then in the morning light,
I awake to her aroma.

She stands in front of me,
A big smile on her face,
In her eyes I can see,
She's staring through me into space.

Then she extends her hand,
As I reach it begins to fade,
It blows away like sand,
I try to get up to her aide.

More than half of her gone,
She keeps that big smile on her face,
And with that smile still on,
She disappears from this place.

I loved this. It was so creative, it gave off such a different way or view of how she was being lost, almost like a dream. That takes talent. Very well written, keep it up, I gave it a 5/5. Also I'd LOVE it if you'd read a few of my poems and comment/RATE them. Thanks alot!!
